Target Information
Differentiated embryo-chondrocyte expressed gene 1 (DEC1) is a protein involved in embryonic cell differentiation, proliferation, and apoptosis. It is regulated by hypoxia and may be implicated in cancer development. Loss of DEC1 expression is linked to early lung cancer events, while up-regulation under hypoxia may contribute to cell death.
