Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Napsin 1 is an aspartic protease primarily expressed in the lung, and also found in kidney and various metastatic carcinomas. It processes surfactant protein B in pulmonary and renal tissues, but its regulation is altered in carcinogenesis.
Napsin evaluation is useful for identifying and differentiating several cancers, particularly when combined with thyroid transcription factor analysis. It serves as a specific biomarker for carcinoma differentiation and has been linked to pulmonary alveolar proteinosis and protein catabolism in renal tubules.
