For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

PAI-2 (SERPINB2) is an inhibitory serpin mainly expressed in keratinocytes, activated monocytes, and placental trophoblasts. It exists as a 47 kDa nonglycosylated intracellular protein and can be secreted as a 60 kDa glycoprotein. Both forms effectively inhibit urokinase-type plasminogen activator (uPA). PAI-2 forms dormant polymers under physiological conditions, possibly regulating controlled inhibitor release. Plasma levels are low except during pregnancy or certain leukemias. PAI-2 secretion from the placenta peaks in the third trimester, protecting tissue from uPA-mediated degradation. It also plays roles in preventing cancer metastasis, inhibiting keratinocyte proliferation, and participating in innate immune responses during viral infection.
