Target Information
Survivin (IAP4)는 Inhibitors of Apoptosis Protein (IAP) 유전자 패밀리 중 가장 작은 구성원으로, 세포 신호전달, 분열, 대사 등 다양한 세포 기능에 관여합니다. 대부분의 정상 조직에서는 낮게 발현되지만, 거의 모든 인간 암 조직에서 높은 발현을 보입니다. Survivin은 단일 BIR 도메인을 가지며, C-말단 RING finger 도메인은 없습니다.
이 단백질은 세포주기 G2/M 단계에서 발현되며, 유사분열 시 미세소관과 결합하여 항-세포사멸 기능을 수행합니다. Survivin-미세소관 상호작용이 방해되면 caspase-3 활성 증가와 세포사멸 유도가 일어납니다. 또한, 뇌 손상 후 astrocyte와 뉴런에서 발현되어 신경세포 증식 반응 조절에 관여할 수 있습니다.
Survivin 유전자는 최소 4개의 전사 변이를 가지며, 이 중 3개의 전체 길이가 확인되었습니다. 암세포에서 Survivin의 과발현은 세포사멸 억제 및 비정상적 세포 분열 진행에 기여할 수 있습니다.
