Vivaspin®2 centrifugal concentrators are available with PES, Hydrosart® or cellulose triacetate membranes, enabling simple ultrafiltration process optimization. For added convenience, these devices also offer the choice between direct concentrate retrieval by pipette or reverse spinning.
Vivaspin® concentrators are disposable ultrafiltration devices for the concentration of biological samples. Vivaspin® 2 can effectively be used in swing bucket or fixed angle rotors accepting 15 mlL centrifuge tubes. The vertical membrane design and thin channel filtration chamber minimizes membrane fouling and provides high speed concentrations, even with particle-laden loaded solutions. Vivaspin® 2 combines the speed of the original Vivaspin® products with low internal surface and membrane areas for superior recoveries from very dilute solutions. Available with a choice of polyethersulfone (PES), Hydrosart® or cellulose triacetate membranes, Vivaspin® 2 offers the highest flexibility for process optimization. Also unique to Vivaspin® 2 is the choice of directly pipetting the concentrate from the dead stop pocket or alternatively or reverse spinning into the recovery cap. Both methods result in near total target molecule recoveries.
