Sartorius Minisart® Syringe Filter (SFCA)
Minisart® NML with surfactant-free cellulose acetate (SFCA) membrane is ideal for filtration of aqueous solutions and oils with pH 4–8.
Type 17593, featuring a 1.2 µm pore size, is suitable for removal of particles, yeast cells, and platelets, and includes a male luer lock outlet.
Version K is individually packed and sterilized by ethylene oxide (EO).
Overview
Individually packed and sterile Minisart® NML syringe filters are designed for immediate use when sterile filtration, clarification, or cell removal under sterile conditions is required.
The SFCA membrane offers leachable-free filtration and is available in various pore sizes. Its very low non-specific binding makes it highly suitable for biomolecule solutions.
The housing is made of MBS (Methacrylate Butadiene Styrene) acrylic resin, which has limited compatibility with alcohols but is phthalate-free and compliant with plastic class VI standards.
Housing and membrane are securely connected, allowing bidirectional use.
