Target Information
CTBP2 유전자는 두 가지 상이한 단백질을 암호화하는 대체 전사체를 생성합니다.
- 하나는 전사 억제 단백질로 작용하며,
- 다른 하나는 시냅스 리본(synaptic ribbon)의 주요 구성 요소입니다.
두 단백질 모두 NAD⁺ 결합 도메인을 포함하고 있으며, 이는 NAD⁺ 의존성 2-hydroxyacid dehydrogenase와 유사합니다.
이 유전자는 염색체 21q21.3에 매핑되었으나, 유사한 서열이 염색체 10에도 존재함이 보고되었습니다.
