Target Information
HIPPI는 섬모(cilia) 형성에 필수적인 단백질로, sonic hedgehog 신호전달 경로에서 간접적인 역할을 합니다. 또한 HIP1과의 상호작용을 통해 caspase-8 (CASP8)을 모집하여 apoptosis를 유도하는 기능을 가지며, CASP1, CASP8, CASP10 등의 caspase 유전자 프로모터에 존재하는 5'-AAAGACATG-3' 서열에 결합할 수 있는 DNA 결합 능력을 보입니다. 이러한 전사 조절 기능의 생리적 의미는 아직 명확하지 않습니다.
