Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a GTPase and a Golgi body transmembrane protein. It can form a homotetramer and interacts with spastin and MAP4K4. This protein may play a role in axonal maintenance, and defects in this gene are associated with spastic paraplegia type 3. Three transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been identified.
