- Application Note: For IHC, epitope retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for FFPE tissue sections.
Target Information
The import of proteins into the nucleus involves two steps:
- Energy-independent docking of the protein to the nuclear envelope.
- Energy-dependent translocation through the nuclear pore complex.
Imported proteins require a nuclear localization sequence (NLS) consisting of short regions of basic amino acids. KPNA2 interacts with the NLSs of DNA helicase Q1 and SV40 T antigen, and may be involved in nuclear transport of proteins. It may also play a role in VJ recombination.
