Target Information
TFG protein is a human homolog of mouse TFG protein containing an N-terminal coiled-coil structure, a SPYGQ-rich region, and octicosapeptide repeats. Research indicates that TFG modulates SHP-1 activity and is a novel member of the NF-κB pathway. Although its physiological functions remain largely unclear, TFG is believed to associate with proteins such as TANK and NEMO. It was first identified as a partner of NTRK1 and is implicated in the formation of the thyroid TRK-T3 oncogene, as well as oncogenic rearrangements with ALK in anaplastic lymphoma and NOR1 in mixoid chondrosarcoma.
