Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
CD80 (B7-1) and CD86 (B7-2) are ligands for the T cell costimulatory molecule CD28 and inhibitory receptor CTLA-4 (CD152).
Both are expressed on antigen-presenting cells and play essential roles in T cell activation.
CD80 is induced on activated B cells, EBV-transformed B cell lines, Burkitt’s lymphoma cell lines, follicular lymphoma cells, T cells, and monocytes.
It provides regulatory signals to T lymphocytes via interaction with CD28 and CTLA4.
CD80 dysfunction is associated with diseases such as gallbladder squamous cell carcinoma and myocarditis.
