The allophycocyanin (APC)-Alexa Fluor™ 750 dye tandem conjugate allows for multicolor measurements using excitation by lasers that emit from 633 to 650 nm.
Target Information
The CD4 antigen is involved in the recognition of MHC class II molecules and serves as a co-receptor for HIV. CD4 is primarily expressed in T helper cells but can also be found in monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. At the tissue level, CD4 expression is detected in thymus, lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, and certain regions of the brain and gut. CD4 participates in T-cell activation through association with the T-cell receptor complex and the tyrosine kinase Lck, and may play a role in neuronal damage in immune-mediated CNS diseases. Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts have been identified (RefSeq, July 2017).
