Target Information
Cadherin 20은 cadherin superfamily의 type II classical cadherin으로, 염색체 18에 위치한 cadherin 7-like 유전자 클러스터 중 하나입니다. 이 막단백질은 칼슘 의존적 세포-세포 접착성 glycoprotein으로, 5개의 extracellular cadherin 반복, transmembrane 영역, 그리고 highly conserved cytoplasmic tail을 포함합니다. Type II cadherin은 type I cadherin의 HAV cell adhesion recognition sequence가 결여되어 있으며, 세포 접착 장애는 종양 세포의 침윤 및 전이에 필수적이므로 cadherin은 종양 억제 유전자의 주요 후보로 간주됩니다.
