Target Information
MBL2 is a calcium-dependent lectin involved in innate immune defense. It binds mannose, fucose, and N-acetylglucosamine on various microorganisms, activating the lectin complement pathway. MBL2 also interacts with late apoptotic and necrotic cells, facilitating their clearance by macrophages, and may bind DNA.
