Target Information
CYP2A6 유전자는 cytochrome P450 초가족에 속하는 효소를 암호화합니다. 이 단백질은 약물 대사 및 콜레스테롤, 스테로이드, 지질 합성에 관여하는 monooxygenase로 작용하며, 주로 소포체에 위치합니다. Phenobarbital에 의해 발현이 유도되며, coumarin, nicotine, aflatoxin B1, nitrosamines 등의 대사에 관여합니다. 특정 대립유전자를 가진 개인은 coumarin이나 nicotine을 효율적으로 대사하지 못하는 poor metabolizer phenotype을 가질 수 있습니다. 이 유전자는 염색체 19q의 CYP2A, CYP2B, CYP2F 유전자 군에 속합니다.
