Product Specific Information

• Reconstitute antibody with 50 µL of double distilled water (DDW).
• Store reconstituted solution at 4°C for up to 1 week.
• For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
• Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

SLIT and NTRK-like family 1 (Slitrk1) is part of a protein family (Slitrk1–6) containing homologous transmembrane proteins with two conserved leucine-rich repeat domains in the extracellular region. These share homology with Slit (axon growth-controlling protein) and trk neurotrophin receptors in intracellular domains.
Expression of Slitrk proteins is restricted to neural and brain tumor tissues. Slitrk1 is primarily expressed in mature neurons and promotes unipolar neurite formation, whereas other Slitrk proteins inhibit neurite outgrowth.
Variants of Slitrk1 have been suggested to be associated with Tourette’s Syndrome but likely play a minor role.
