This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences are cloned from immunoreactive rabbits, and individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
NGAL (Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin), also known as lipocalin 2 or siderocalin, is a 25 kDa glycosylated monomer belonging to the lipocalin family. It binds and transports small lipophilic molecules and is released by activated neutrophils. NGAL can form dimers and complexes with matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9, gelatinase B).
Low-level NGAL expression in various epithelia increases during inflammation or cancer. In the kidney, NGAL expression is dramatically elevated by ischemic or nephrotoxic injury.
