• Reconstitution: 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
• The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
• Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

The OPRM1 gene encodes the mu opioid receptor, the primary site of action for commonly used opioids such as morphine, heroin, fentanyl, and methadone.
It also serves as the receptor for endogenous opioid peptides including beta-endorphin and enkephalins.
The OPRM1 receptor belongs to the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) family.
There are three main types of opioid receptors — mu, kappa, and delta — each with distinct pharmacologic profiles.
