Target Information
MIG, also known as CXCL9, is a T-cell chemoattractant inducible by gamma interferon and belongs to the CXC chemokine family. This gene is located on chromosome 4q21. Although chemokines are primarily known for their chemotactic activity, they also influence T-cell activation, angiogenesis, and HIV infection. Unlike most CXC chemokines that attract neutrophils, MIG and INP10 are unique in being chemotactic for lymphocytes and inactive for neutrophils.
