Target Information
The SH3RF2 gene encodes a protein with protein phosphatase 1 binding and ubiquitin protein ligase activity. This protein participates in multiple cellular processes, including:
- Positive regulation of the JNK cascade
- Protein autoubiquitination
- Regulation of cellular protein metabolic processes
The protein localizes to the nucleoplasm, and mutations in the SH3RF2 gene have been associated with Ureter Transitional Cell Carcinoma.
