Target Information
ARAP1 (angiotensin II type 1 receptor-associated protein)
ARAP1 is an adaptor protein with ArfGAP and RhoGAP activities, containing five PH domains and ankyrin repeats. It links phosphoinositide-, Arf-, and Rho-mediated signaling pathways. ARAP1 supports plasma membrane recycling of angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1) and regulates cell-specific trafficking of TRAIL-R1 (DR4), promoting TRAIL-induced apoptosis in certain cell types. It also plays a role in cell spreading.
