Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is structurally similar to the CDC46 protein from S. cerevisiae, which is involved in the initiation of DNA replication. It belongs to the MCM family of chromatin-binding proteins and interacts with other members of this family. The encoded protein is upregulated during the transition from G0 to G1/S phase of the cell cycle and may play a role in cell cycle regulation.
