Target Information
Axin2 단백질은 Wnt 신호전달 경로에서 β-catenin 안정성 조절에 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. Mouse conductin/rat axil과 유사하게, conductin은 APC, β-catenin, glycogen synthase kinase 3-β 등과 복합체를 형성하여 β-catenin의 분해를 유도합니다. β-catenin의 조절 이상은 여러 종양의 발생과 관련이 있으며, AXIN2 유전자는 17q23–q24 영역에 위치해 있으며, 이 영역은 유방암, 신경모세포종 등에서 이형접합성 소실이 빈번하게 나타납니다. 또한, 이 유전자의 돌연변이는 결함 있는 불일치 복구를 가진 대장암과 관련이 있습니다.
