Target Information

Activator protein-2 alpha (AP-2 alpha)는 척추동물 발달과 발암 과정에서 유전자 발현을 조절하는 발달 조절 전사 인자입니다. 이 단백질은 Kruppel-like zinc finger 단백질 패밀리에 속하며, AP-2 alpha 유전자의 프로모터 내 특정 부위에 결합하여 해당 유전자의 발현을 억제할 수 있습니다. 이 억제 작용에는 코리프레서 CtBP1과의 결합이 필요합니다. 본 유전자는 서로 다른 아이소폼을 암호화하는 두 가지 전사 변이체를 가집니다.
