Semaphorin-4B는 단일 통과형(type I) 막 단백질로, semaphorin 계열에 속합니다. Class 4 semaphorins는 신경계 전반에 널리 발현되는 막 단백질로, SEMA4B는 Ig-like C2-type 도메인, PSI 도메인, Sema 도메인을 포함합니다. 인간 SEMA4B는 신경세포에서 발현되며, 축삭 신장 억제 및 국소 신호 전달을 통해 신경 성장 영역을 제한합니다. 또한 SEMA4B는 비만세포 매개 Th2 및 체액성 기억 반응을 음성 조절합니다.
