Fructose-1,6-bisphosphate aldolase는 fructose-1,6-bisphosphate를 glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate와 dihydroxyacetone phosphate로 가역적으로 전환하는 4량체 효소입니다. 척추동물에는 A, B, C 세 가지 isozyme이 존재하며, 각각 발달 단계 및 조직 특이적으로 발현됩니다. ALDOB 유전자의 결함은 hereditary fructose intolerance를 유발합니다.
