Target Information
The de novo synthesis of pyrimidine nucleotides is required for mammalian cell proliferation.
This gene encodes a trifunctional protein associated with the enzymatic activities of the first three enzymes in the six-step pathway of pyrimidine biosynthesis: carbamoylphosphate synthetase (CPS II), aspartate transcarbamoylase, and dihydroorotase.
This protein is regulated by the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) cascade, indicating a direct link between MAPK activation and de novo pyrimidine biosynthesis.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
