This antibody detects endogenous levels of total LSM11 protein.

Target Information

LSm11 is a 360 amino acid protein localized in the nucleus and belongs to the LSm subfamily of snRNP Sm proteins. It contains an N-terminal domain necessary for pre-mRNA cleavage and binds specifically to U7 snRNA, playing a role in cell cycle regulation and cell growth.
The LSm11 gene is located on human chromosome 5, which spans about 181 million base pairs (≈6% of the human genome). Deletion of the p arm of chromosome 5 causes Cri du chat syndrome, while deletion of the q arm or the entire chromosome 5 is associated with therapy-related acute myelogenous leukemia and myelodysplastic syndrome.
