Target Information
Actin is a ubiquitous protein that forms filaments constituting major parts of the cytoskeleton. Actin filaments interact with myosin to facilitate muscle contraction, cell motility, and cytokinesis. In vertebrates, actin exists as three isoform groups: alpha, beta, and gamma.
