Tacatuzumab은 AFP(alpha Fetoprotein)를 타깃으로 하는 바이오시밀러 항체입니다.
AFP는 태아기 동안 난황낭, 장관, 간에서 생성되는 주요 혈장 단백질로, 성인에서의 발현은 간암(hepatoma) 또는 기형종(teratoma)과 관련이 있습니다.
AFP는 혈청 알부민의 태아형 대응 단백질로 알려져 있으며, 두 유전자는 염색체 4에서 동일한 전사 방향으로 인접해 존재합니다.
AFP는 단량체, 이량체, 삼량체 형태로 존재하며, 구리, 니켈 이온, 지방산, 빌리루빈과 결합할 수 있습니다.
양수 내 AFP 수준은 척추이분증(spina bifida) 및 무뇌증(anencephaly) 선별 검사에서 사용되며, 혈청 AFP의 높은 수준은 간세포암(HCC), 기형종, 대장암, 췌장암, 생식세포 종양 등에서 발견됩니다.
