Target Information
The SOCS4 protein contains both SH2 and SOCS BOX domains, classifying it as a member of the suppressor of cytokine signaling (SOCS) family, also known as STAT-induced STAT inhibitor (SSI) proteins. SOCS family members act as cytokine-inducible negative regulators of cytokine signaling. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified for this gene.
