Target Information
CAMK1G serine/threonine kinase is a member of the CAMK family and is a novel membrane-anchored neuronal Ca²⁺/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase. Full activation of CAMK1G requires both Ca²⁺ and calmodulin, as well as phosphorylation by CAMKK. CAMK1G transcripts are most abundant in neurons, particularly in the central nucleus of the amygdala (CeA) and the ventromedial hypothalamus.
