This antibody recognizes the mouse epsilon heavy chain of immunoglobulin (determined by immunodot). It is useful as a secondary antibody in immunoassays such as ELISA (providing good binding on plastic) and in immunohistochemistry on frozen sections.

Target Information

Anti-Mouse secondary antibodies are affinity-purified antibodies with well-characterized specificity for mouse immunoglobulins. They are useful for detection, sorting, or purification of the specified target.
Secondary antibodies offer increased versatility by supporting multiple detection systems (e.g., HRP, AP, fluorescence) and provide greater sensitivity through signal amplification, as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody.
Typically, they are generated by immunizing the host animal with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species, followed by purification and modification (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, antibody fragmentation, or label conjugation) to yield highly specific reagents.
