Target Information
The PNMT gene product catalyzes the final step in the catecholamine biosynthesis pathway, converting norepinephrine to epinephrine (adrenaline). The enzyme also exhibits beta-carboline 2N-methyltransferase activity and plays a key role in regulating epinephrine production.
