Target Information

U2AF1L4 is an RNA-binding protein functioning as a pre-mRNA splicing factor. It plays a key role in constitutive and enhancer-dependent splicing by mediating protein-protein and protein-RNA interactions essential for accurate 3′-splice site selection.
It enhances U2AF2 binding to weak pyrimidine tracts and participates in regulating alternative pre-mRNA splicing.
In T-cell activation, it activates exon 5 skipping of PTPRC, an event reversed by GFI1.
Binds RNA at the AG dinucleotide at the 3′-splice site, showing preference for AGC or AGA.
