Target Information
PGAM5 displays phosphatase activity for serine/threonine residues and dephosphorylates MAP3K5 kinase. It has no phosphoglycerate mutase activity and may regulate mitochondrial dynamics. Acts as a substrate for a KEAP1-dependent ubiquitin ligase complex and contributes to repression of NFE2L2-dependent gene expression. Functions as a central mediator for programmed necrosis induced by TNF, reactive oxygen species, and calcium ionophore. [UniProt]
