Polyamines are ubiquitous polycationic alkylamines including spermine, spermidine, putrescine, and agmatine.
These molecules are involved in:

The SMOX gene encodes an FAD-containing enzyme that catalyzes oxidation of spermine to spermidine, producing hydrogen peroxide as a byproduct.
