DUSP7는 dual specificity protein phosphatase 하위군에 속하는 단백질로, phosphoserine/threonine과 phosphotyrosine 잔기를 탈인산화하여 표적 키나아제를 비활성화합니다. 이는 MAPK/ERK, SAPK/JNK, p38 등 세포 증식 및 분화에 관련된 MAP kinase 계열을 음성 조절합니다. 각 DUSP 단백질은 기질 특이성, 조직 분포, 세포 내 위치 및 발현 유도 양상에서 차이를 보입니다.
