• In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Integrin alpha 2, alpha 4, alpha 5, alpha E, alpha M, alpha V, and alpha X is observed.

Target Information

ITGA3 (Integrin alpha-3), also known as CD49C, VLA3, or GAPB3, is encoded by the ITGA3 gene.
This integrin alpha subunit is part of the cell surface adhesion molecule family and is mapped to chromosome 17q21.33.
ITGA3 forms the alpha3beta1 integrin complex, which plays a role in neural migration and corticogenesis in conjunction with the beta-1 subunit.
A functional link between DAB1 phosphorylation and ITGA3 signaling facilitates neuronal detachment from radial glial fibers.
Expression of human ITGA3 increases viral infectivity in Chinese hamster ovary cells.
ITGA3 contains 13 potential N-glycosylation sites, 2 cleavage sites, and 7 N-terminal repeating units characteristic of integrins.
Recombinant ITGA3 is expressed as a 150 kDa protein, consistent with the native form by Western blot analysis.
