Product Specific Information
- In sandwich ELISAs, approximately 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant rat Renin and less than 0.2% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Renin are observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
Renin is a highly specific endopeptidase whose primary function is to generate angiotensin I from angiotensinogen in plasma. This initiates a cascade that elevates blood pressure and increases sodium retention by the kidney.
