Target Information
WD-repeats are motifs found in various proteins, characterized by a conserved core of 40–60 amino acids forming a propeller-like tertiary structure. Proteins containing WD-repeats are involved in regulatory mechanisms such as chromatin assembly, cell cycle control, signal transduction, RNA processing, apoptosis, and vesicular trafficking.
WDR68 (also known as DCAF7, HAN11, or WD repeat-containing protein 68) is a 342-amino-acid protein belonging to the WD repeat DCAF7 family, containing four WD repeats. It localizes to the cytoplasm and nucleus, participates in protein modification and ubiquitination pathways, and interacts directly with Dyrk1A, Dyrk1B, and Dia1. WDR68 plays roles in craniofacial and skin development.
