Target Information
Nonstructural protein 2 (NS2) is a viral protein found in the hepatitis C virus. It is also produced by influenza viruses, and is alternatively known as the nuclear export protein (NEP).
Hepatitis C is a liver disease caused by the hepatitis C virus (HCV), which can cause both acute and chronic hepatitis, ranging in severity from mild to lifelong illness. Hepatitis C is a major cause of liver cancer.
