Target Information
Coagulation factor II (thrombin) receptor-like 1 (F2RL1) is a member of the 7-transmembrane-region receptor family that couples to G proteins. It belongs to the protease-activated receptor family and is activated by trypsin but not thrombin. Activation occurs via proteolytic cleavage of its extracellular N-terminus, generating a tethered ligand that activates the receptor. The F2RL1 gene has two exons and is widely expressed in human tissues. The predicted protein sequence shares 83% identity with the mouse receptor sequence.
