Target Information
Eps8L1 (EPS8-like 1), also known as DRC3 or EPS8R1, is a 723 amino acid cytoplasmic protein belonging to the Eps8 family. It is expressed in placental tissue and stimulates the guanine exchange activity of Sos1 (Son of Sevenless homolog 1), promoting Ras-bound GDP to GTP exchange.
Eps8L1 associates with Actin, contributing to membrane ruffling and cytoskeletal remodeling. Through regulation of protein activation and cytoskeleton dynamics, Eps8L1 may be involved in cell growth and differentiation. It contains one SH3 domain and is expressed as four isoforms due to alternative splicing.
