TRPV1 (Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily V Member 1)
TRPV1은 캡사이신(capsaicin)의 수용체로, 통각 신경을 선택적으로 활성화하여 화끈한 통증 감각을 유발합니다. 이 단백질은 TRP 이온 채널 패밀리(TRPC3, TRPC6 등)와 구조적으로 유사한 비선택적 양이온 채널로, 칼슘, 마그네슘, 나트륨, 칼륨 이온에 투과성이 있습니다.
TRPV1은 6개의 막관통 영역, P-loop 막 도메인 및 3개의 ankyrin 반복 도메인을 포함하며, 고온 자극에 의해 활성화되어 통증 전달에 관여합니다. 또한, 양성자 유입을 매개하여 통각 신경 내 산성화에 관여할 수 있습니다.
TRPV1의 발현은 주로 감각 신경절 내 뉴런에서 관찰되며, 5' UTR 서열이 다른 4가지 전사 변이체가 보고되었습니다.
관련 질환으로는 과민성 대장 증후군(IBS) 및 방광 질환이 있습니다.
