Target Information
MUC1 (Mucin 1, Episialin, MAM-6, CA 15-3, PEM, EMA)는 대부분의 선상 및 관상 상피세포와 일부 조혈계 세포 계통에서 발현되는 대형 세포 표면 점액질 당단백질입니다.
MUC1은 막관통형 당단백질로, 다양한 프로테아제 절단 및 O-연결 당사슬의 추가와 가공을 통해 여러 중간 형태로 성숙합니다.
이 단백질은 고도로 다형성을 가지며, 각 대립유전자는 30~90회 반복을 포함하여 분자량에 큰 차이를 유발합니다.
MUC1은 대부분의 분비 상피조직에서 발현되며, 유방암 및 전이암의 90% 이상에서 과발현됩니다.
또한 MUC1은 모든 cebB 수용체와 결합하고, 수유기 유선에서 erbB1(EGFR)과 공위치하는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
MUC1 유전자는 7개의 엑손으로 구성되며, 다양한 스플라이싱 변이를 생성합니다.
MUC1 단백질의 과발현, 비정상적인 세포 내 위치, 당화 변화는 여러 암종과 관련이 있습니다.
