Target Information
WDR11은 WD repeat 단백질 패밀리의 구성원으로, 약 40개의 아미노산으로 이루어진 GH-WD 반복 서열을 포함합니다. 이러한 반복은 이종삼합체 또는 다단백질 복합체 형성을 촉진할 수 있습니다. WD repeat 단백질은 세포 주기 진행, 신호 전달, 세포사멸, 유전자 조절 등 다양한 세포 과정에 관여합니다.
이 유전자는 염색체 10q25–26 영역에 위치하며, 해당 영역은 신경교종 및 기타 조직의 종양에서 자주 결실되며, glioblastoma 세포에서 t(10;19) 전좌 재배열에 의해 파괴됩니다. 따라서 종양 억제 유전자 후보로 간주됩니다.
