For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

PAI-2 (SERPINB2) is an inhibitory serpin mainly expressed in keratinocytes, activated monocytes, and placental trophoblasts. It exists as a 47 kDa nonglycosylated intracellular protein or a 60 kDa glycosylated secreted form. Both forms effectively inhibit urokinase-type plasminogen activator (uPA).
PAI-2 can form dormant polymers under physiological conditions, potentially regulating controlled release from producing cells. Plasma levels are typically low except during pregnancy or certain leukemias. During the third trimester, placental secretion increases PAI-2 levels up to 250 ng/mL.
PAI-2 plays a protective role in the placenta and may inhibit metastatic spread in neck, lung, and breast cancers by blocking uPA-dependent cell dissemination. It also participates in keratinocyte regulation and innate immune responses during viral infection.
