Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).


Target Information

CD34 is a highly glycosylated monomeric surface protein (111–115 kDa) expressed on various stem cell populations. It serves as a stem cell marker with reversible expression on human hematopoietic stem cells. CD34 may function as a surface receptor involved in receptor-mediated endocytosis, adhesion, differentiation, and proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells and progenitors.

CD34 expression reflects a specific developmental state with distinct adhesion properties and may mediate attachment to bone marrow extracellular matrix or stromal cells. It can act as a scaffold for lineage-specific glycans, facilitating interactions with lectins and selectins. The intracellular domain is phosphorylated by activated protein kinase C, suggesting a role in signal transduction.

Diseases associated with CD34 dysfunction include dermatofibrosarcoma and neurofibroma.
